Setting a Custom Thumbnail

At Postwire, we are constantly improving the algorithm that identifies the best images from the content you post, but we're not always perfect. In the event where you want to make your content look better, you have two choices: Upload a new image -or- crop from the webpage (if it was a web link).

Uploading a thumbnail

1. To upload a new thumbnail, click "Can't find a good image?"

2. Click "Upload an Image" and you will be presented with a file picker from your computer.

3. After the image is uploaded, you will be able to crop the part of the image you want to select.  Drag the crop area and click Done Cropping to save the image.

4. You image will now be used as the thumbnail. Note: you can click the next arrow to zoom in on the image if you want.

Cropping the thumbnail from webpage

1. Click "Crop from Webpage" and Postwire will attempt to take a screenshot of the webpage.

2. You will be presented with the screenshot and a cropping tool to select the area of the screen you want to capture.

3. Select the area of the screen and click Done.

4. You image will now be used as the thumbnail.  Note: you can click the next arrow to zoom in on the image if you want.
